David is an award winning professional tennis coach, well respected in the Australian tennis community.
David is a Tennis Australia Talent Development Coach and the only full time professional tennis coach in the region.
As a junior, David lived and completed all his schooling in Albany, WA and was a top junior tennis player and WA representative in soccer.
He moved to Perth as a teenager but after a shoulder reconstruction he decided to move back home to Albany to focus all his experience and expertise in coaching tennis at Merrifield Park Tennis Club and around the region.
From 10 participants a week in 2001, Albany Tennis Academy quickly grew and now provides its services to over 1200 participants each week including over 15 Schools and Clubs in the region.
David has been recognized for his coaching services by winning several awards including the Australian Sports Commissions 5 Star Community Coaching Award in 2013 as well as the 2013 WA Hot Shots Coach of the Year and 2012 WA Club Coach of the Year.
